SAD FACE. (And in that moment, I swear we were all fatshionistas)
That aside, why does Fatshion need to be relegated to one month out of the year? Why can’t every month be a time celebrate and share our fully embodied style with the Tumblrverse/Twitterverse/Assorted other “-verses”? Good questions to ask.
Which is why I am making a proposition: every month from this day forward shall be a time for plus size men (and women) to show off their swag. If you agree, use the hashtag “Fatshion Forever” in your posts. You will see this tag on the CGS submission page immediately.
Make sure you share this with your friends, fans, followers, homeskillets, Broseph Stalins, and the like. And, as always, keep it classy.
This is an e-mail submission we received from a CGS follower in Malaysia:
Greetings Zach and Abigail.
I’m Ilyas from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and I stumbled upon your blog while I was at work. It’s a superb one, not to mention that it’s the only one where plus-size men are the models. Screw Zoolander and his minions.
Here are some photos of me and I hope its good enough to be in the blog.
Have a good one.
Fatshion February: February 7th
Pattern explosion! Though I’ve long been all about solids, I’ve started dabbling in patterns in the last year or so and here I’ve mashed 4 (5 if you count the cap) all into one outfit. Given that the most extreme pattern is the gingham on the dress shirt, this is nothing radical, but still a bit jarring in a way I enjoy. Sorry for the moray pattern on the dress shirt. One of the perils of checks. Its not on the full versions.
Specs: SEE | Shirt: Geoffrey Beene | Tie: Macy’s | Suit: Men’s Wearhouse | Vest: Old Navy | Flatcap: J. Crew
In the name of Fatshion February, we want to give you as much content as possible. What we need from you are ideas for our next video. What topics do you want us to cover? Do you have any specific comments or queries? Do you want Zach to do a tutorial on his famous hairdo? Would you like us to do a video on health and body image?
Leave your questions or comments in our askbox or you can e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also post comments or message us on our YouTube page. Will post links below.
This is a submission we received via e-mail from CGS follower Rafael Juarez:
I am not classy, but its cleaned up a bit.
Leather jacket was bought in the Los Angeles fashion district ($50), t-shirt is from LAX ($25), boots are Harley ($150), wallet and chain ($22), bandana ($1), spike bracelet is from Hot Topic ($22). The guitar is an Ibanez RX series.
I don’t know about you, but this guy brings the idea of a rock and roll attitude to a whole new level. You can find his blog here.
ADVICE: Where can chubby/big guys find cool clothes?
It’s well worth the wait. Here’s some suggestions and insight on options for the chubby/fat/husky/Zach Galifianakis-sized male looking for hip, trendy, and good looking clothes.
Keep it classy.
In less than half an hour, it will be February. You know what that means? FATSHION FEBRUARY 2013.
I will add the tag to the submission page in the event that you feel like participating. I know I will!
Keep it classy.
