Outfit breakdown. This is where the wonderful nature of a well placed, bold accessory becomes the “Make It or Break it” factor of an ensemble. Adam is sporting a black on black tailored suit on a night out. It’s a very muted choice, but it is his selection of tie and pocket square which really makes the outfit pop. The dashes of red in this ensemble gives the outfit a very strong, brief flair that could otherwise be undone. For example, had he chosen a different color shirt, the same effect may not have been possible. The pattern of both the pocket square and the tie also draws the eye in as it sticks the accessories out thereby making a nice suit even more memorable in the mind’s eye. What makes this outfit even more wonderful? He chose a bow tie. That alone made me give this outfit a thumbs up. Today’s lesson: accessorize and don’t be afraid to go bold.
